Wow. Just checked the stats @ userscripts.org and saw that my Greasemonkey script for Bloglines, Bloglines HAI (Hide Archived Items) has been installed more than 1300 times from that site. I am happy that so many of you have enjoyed it.
For those of you who don't use Bloglines, or don't have an idea what it is, please ignore this post. For those of you who are still a bit curious, but hasn't guessed what the script does yet, here's an image to give you the idea:
Anyway, I got an email from someone today, asking me how to install the script, and I thought - instead of sending him to my old blog, I'd just repeat the steps from my previous post here (slightly edited):
- Install Firefox, if it isn't already installed.
- Install the Greasemonkey extension, if it isn't already installed.
- In Firefox, surf to the Bloglines HAI page on userscripts.org (or directly from my server).
- When you are shown the Greasemonkey Installation box, go ahead and press the Install button.
- Surf to Bloglines, still using Firefox.
- If you have saved any items (By using the "Keep New" checkbox in the lower right corner of each item), these items will now be hidden by default. Show them by using the "... Archived" link as shown in the screenshot above.
OK that's all. Please let me know if there are any features I have missed, it's been a couple of years since I made it, but it still works. :-)
Hi there,
I'm a big fan of Bloglines HAI. Use it on all three of my PCs with Firefox/Greasemonkey :)
Just wanted to say that I think it broke a few days ago, though. When you click on the "X items archived" link, nothing happens.
Not sure how difficult it would be to fix, but if you can, it would be much appreciated!
